Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, says hackers took about $6.3 billion from its hot wallets on Thursday, 30 Oct, in the largest crypto theft on record. Most of the funds were moved in about 20 minutes from 20:05 GMT. Stablecoin issuers have frozen roughly half of the stolen assets, around $3 billion, and Binance says it will cover customer losses from company funds. Withdrawals remain suspended, with resumption expected within about 40 hours. The US Secret Service is investigating, and blockchain analysts link the attack to a North Korean group, though no official attribution has been made.

A fire near the Ras Tanura refinery in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province was contained, Bloomberg News reports, citing a person familiar with the matter. The Houthi movement says it struck the refinery with a ballistic missile on 27 Oct, a claim Saudi authorities have not confirmed. Saudi-led coalition forces say they shot down three Houthi missiles aimed at the Eastern Province and intercepted two ballistic missiles fired at Riyadh, where shrapnel damaged a building, a construction project and a car. The refinery handles 550,000 barrels per day. Damage details remain unclear.
