UN panel says Israel still committing genocide in Gaza

A UN commission of inquiry says Israel has continued genocidal acts in Gaza after the October 2025 ceasefire, and that the situation in the West Bank has worsened. Israel's Geneva mission calls the report a misinformation campaign. The Palestinian health ministry reports 74,561 deaths in Gaza since October 2023, including 1,565 since the ceasefire took effect. It also says Israeli forces killed 14 Palestinians over the past two days, including a six-year-old girl. The report covers events from 7 October 2023 to September 2026.

Israeli strikes kill several in Gaza; Hebron operation displaces thousands

Israeli airstrikes and fire in Gaza killed 13 people in the 24 hours to 26 Oct, Civil Defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said, with about 60 wounded. Five Palestinians, including a seven-year-old girl, were killed on 26 Oct, according to medical sources and first responders. Separately, Israeli troops fired a stun grenade on 27 Oct to disperse protesters in Hebron, where a military operation has displaced more than 3,000 Palestinians, according to the United Nations. Israel says the operation responds to a 23 Oct attack that killed two soldiers at a checkpoint. Israelis were voting in an election on 27 Oct.
