Ernie Johnson, 70, will step down as host of Inside the NBA when the 2026-27 season ends, he said in a social media video. Johnson has hosted the program for 37 seasons, since 1990. He said he wants more time with family and cited heart issues in recent years, and he denied being forced out or retiring. He will keep working for TNT and CBS, including NCAA men's basketball tournament coverage. Adam Lefkoe may be the in-house frontrunner to succeed him, according to Yahoo Sports. Game 6 of the WNBA Finals, between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream, will be played on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, a time change from the original 8 p.m. start. The Valkyries lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and are one win from the title. The WNBA says the shift accommodates an NBA game involving the Atlanta Hawks that evening at the same venue. The Dream's ownership group says it warned the league about scheduling conflicts two months earlier. The move takes the game from the Dream's regular-season home, Gateway Center Arena, which seats 3,500, to the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena. The WNBA had not responded to a request for comment.
