Alphabet’s stock slides 12% on Thursday, wiping about $500 billion from its market value. The decline follows a 12% rise in Google Search revenue to $63.4 billion, below analysts’ 15% expectation, and a negative free cash flow of $9.1 billion in the third quarter, its second consecutive loss. Capital spending across the sector tops $740 billion this year, with Alphabet planning up to $205 billion in 2026 and higher spending in 2027.

Intel shares fell 29.9% to $64.54 on 30 Oct 2026 after the chipmaker warned it would burn cash this year and issued a weak fourth-quarter forecast. Intel expects fourth-quarter revenue of $15 billion to $16 billion, while third-quarter revenue rose 21% to $16.51 billion from $13.7 billion a year earlier. Intel says an October explosion at its Israel fab will cut about $600 million in revenue over two quarters. Shares of Nvidia, AMD, Broadcom, Micron, Qualcomm and Arm also fell in trading after hours and premarket.

Nvidia says it found no basis for reports that Alice Huang, a former Megaspeed executive, was a Chinese intelligence asset linked to CEO Jensen Huang, and says earlier smuggling claims were investigated and dismissed last year. The New York Times reported that U.S. intelligence surveilled Huang for more than a year and concluded she passed Nvidia AI chip information to Beijing. The report says President Donald Trump was briefed roughly a year ago but chose not to act. China's Foreign Ministry rejected the report as groundless speculation.
