Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, says hackers drained about 6.3 billion dollars from its hot wallets on Thursday, 30 Oct, in what blockchain analysts describe as the largest crypto theft on record. Most of the funds left in roughly 20 minutes from 20:05 GMT, across 10 blockchains. Tether and Circle have frozen more than 2.3 billion dollars of the stolen assets, while the hackers still control about 2.4 billion dollars in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Binance says it will cover all losses and has suspended withdrawals, which it expects to resume within about 40 hours.

An EUFOR military helicopter crashed during a routine operation near Brčko in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, resulting in either three or four fatalities and twelve injuries, including one person in critical condition. The aircraft, an Italian CH‑47 Chinook, was part of the EU peacekeeping mission that has been active in the country since 2004. Emergency services responded to the scene, and no civilian infrastructure or persons were harmed. EUFOR has opened a full investigation and asked the public to avoid spreading unverified information.
North Korea launched roughly ten short-range ballistic missiles from the Wonsan area on its east coast on Thursday, 29 Oct, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said. The projectiles flew about 250 km before landing in waters off the peninsula. Japan's Defence Ministry said it detected a suspected ballistic missile launch that did not appear to fall inside its exclusive economic zone. Seoul has tightened surveillance and is sharing information with Washington and Tokyo. The launch came less than a week after South Korea proposed military talks over a border row, which followed land mine blasts on 21 Sep that injured three South Korean soldiers. Seoul blames Pyongyang for the mines; Pyongyang denies responsibility.
