Prada's Christmas campaign uses hand-drawn animation

Prada has launched its Christmas campaign, titled 'Drawing Prada: Animated By Hand', and chose hand-drawn illustration over generative AI. The campaign mixes live-action footage with hand-drawn characters. Veteran animator John Pomeroy leads a team of artists on the animated elements, while Glen Luchford photographed the live-action scenes. Celebrity ambassadors featured include Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Chen Haoyu, Luther Ford and Kelvin Harrison Jr. Creative direction is overseen by Miuccia Prada, Raf Simons and Ferdinando Verderi, according to a Prada press release.
