France launches fertility awareness letters for 29-year-olds

France's health insurance system will send awareness letters on fertility to women and men aged 29 by the end of November, Health Minister Stéphanie Rist said. The letter invites people planning children to see a health professional for a preconception consultation. It advises consulting a specialist after one year of trying before age 35, or after six months from age 35. The campaign is part of a 16-measure anti-infertility plan Rist presented in February. A monitoring committee report on the plan was submitted to her on Tuesday 3 November.
