The animated film Wildwood has earned $36 million globally, combining a $25.9 million domestic total with earnings from dozens of overseas markets. It opened on 23 Oct in the United States, pulling in $12.3 million its first week and later adding $7.5 million over the Halloween weekend, a 39% decline from the debut. The movie’s domestic haul exceeds the $16.6 million earned by Laika’s previous release Missing Link but remains below the $75 million domestic gross of the studio’s 2009 hit Coraline. The production cost is reported at about $100 million.

General Motors will pay $220 million to settle claims brought by a coalition of US state attorneys general over the sale of driver data. The states allege GM sold driving behaviour and location data to data brokers and insurers from 2016 to 2024 without customers' permission, linked to its discontinued Smart Driver program. Under the settlement, GM must limit data collection and obtain drivers' express consent before collecting or sharing their information, and must undergo a third-party assessment of its privacy program.
